Let yourself be held in deep rest. ✨

In this gentle, hour-long practice, you’ll settle into a cozy, supported posture and be guided through Yoga Nidra—a powerful “yogic sleep” meditation designed to calm the nervous system, clear the mind, and soften the weight of daily stress. Through breath, body awareness, and guided imagery, you’ll drift into a state of profound relaxation… and emerge feeling refreshed, restored, and quietly renewed.

No experience needed—just come as you are. Whether you’re longing for better sleep, stress relief, or simply a peaceful pause in your week, this is a space to reconnect with your inner calm.

Join us as we cultivate specific practices during times of grief that help us find ease in our bodies and minds. Our time together includes guided movements taken from the Kundalini yoga tradition, breath-work, stillness, and conversation, plus live music and sound.

This recalibration allows us to build new neural pathways to prevent our minds from falling into old patterns of physical and emotional pain. We will also include periods of stillness that allow for integration of the physical and emotional work. These sessions conclude with a voluntary opportunity to share for those who wish to do so.

heart2heart believes that these modalities of healing are important and accessible to all humans seeking to heal their sorrows and to remember their sacred path in life.

Sunday, April 12th at 1pm- Offered by sliding scale donations. Please register under Events + Workshops

Elemental Rhythm Breathwork is a somatic embodiment journey designed to support growth and healing.

Through deep, intentional breathing, this practice can guide you beyond the conscious mind, restoring balance by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. By accessing this deeper state, you can release old thought patterns, stagnant emotions, and energy that no longer serves you. Where awareness goes, energy flows—this process empowers you to shift your state of consciousness to nurture your own personal growth and healing.

“As many of you know, our community’s dear leader, Lexie, is out of town this week and made the perhaps questionable choice of leaving me in charge. Spring is in the air, I’ve got a bit of time to spare, and yogamergencies are pretty rare. So… nothing to worry about, right?

Surely I wouldn’t take advantage of her absence to pull some kind of epic or childish April Fools prank. Or worse, debase the revered pages of the Yoga Garden PBO blog. Would I? Actually—no. I won’t.

I was tempted. But then I got to thinking about Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

Sutra 2:32 introduces saucha, the first of the niyamas—practices that invite us toward clarity, integrity, and right relationship. Saucha is often translated as purity or cleanliness, but it’s more than wiping down your mat or tidying your space. It’s about what we allow in—and how carefully we move through the world.

And yes, this time of year practically begs for a spring cleaning metaphor. I could talk about wildflowers reclaiming what was once a beer bottle graveyard, or the less glamorous realities of post–heated flow cleanup. There’s plenty to work with.

But what’s been on my mind lately is a different kind of cleaning…” - Bill

Join us as we cultivate specific practices during times of grief that help us find ease in our bodies and minds. Our time together includes guided movements taken from the Kundalini yoga tradition, breath-work, stillness, and conversation, plus live music and sound.

Movements are tailored to support the strong emotions associated with grief that we undergo in the body and the mind. We will explore prescriptive breathwork, which will help us relax physically and mentally, as well as restore the relaxation response in our central nervous system, to counter the effects of hyperarousal that can be brought on by grief.

This recalibration allows us to build new neural pathways to prevent our minds from falling into old patterns of physical and emotional pain. We will also include periods of stillness that allow for integration of the physical and emotional work. These sessions conclude with a voluntary opportunity to share for those who wish to do so.

“As our four grownish kids build their lives and step out into the world, I find myself returning to the same message: the most important thing to cultivate in life is relationships. They mostly get it. But in the digitally saturated world they were born into, relationships require a kind of intention that didn’t always used to be necessary. And there is not really a single extrovert among us. It doesn’t always come easy. Not at all.

There are many things that make a life resilient. Strong relationships sit at the very top.

I’ve spent a lot of my life as one of those “I can do it myself” people. Fiercely independent. I still go there. But at some point I realized that this quality I was proud of was not always healthy—more a response shaped by believing that I didn’t have someone to depend on.

I could tell the harder versions of those stories. But when I look again, from a different angle, what stands out is not abandonment. It’s how often I was held. Here are two of the most formative:

I was in England my junior year of college, planning to spend spring break at my boyfriend’s home in Wales. The day before break, he got drunk and pushed me into a wardrobe in my dorm room. I wasn’t seriously hurt, but I was shaken. The dorm emptied out as everyone left for the holiday, and I sat there alone, unsure what to do.

Later that evening, I heard voices in the hallway—unexpected in an otherwise silent building. There were students gathered in the dorm kitchen, cooking together. The smell alone was enough to pull me out of my room…”
