Today our hearts were full as our Village gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Psalm 138 reminds us to “give thanks with our whole heart,” and that’s exactly what we did as we reflected on the goodness of the Lord Jesus and His faithful care for us.

From a joyful hymn sing, to a community-wide “turkey hunt,” to delicious appetizers and a huge Thanksgiving meal prepared by our dining team, the day was a blessing from start to finish. Laughter, fellowship, and gratitude filled every room.

We are truly thankful for the privilege of sharing life together here at Pittsboro Christian Village, and the staff and volunteers that make a day like today possible! May our hearts continue to overflow with praise to the One who gives every good gift.

🦃 Turkey Hunting at the Care Home! 🦃
Today’s “turkey hunt” at PCV was a hit! Our resident hunters armed themselves with Nerf blasters… and our brave turkeys did their best to outrun them (with varying degrees of success).

Looking forward to enjoying some real turkey tomorrow!

Our residents and a few of the kids spent time together at Coloring Club, talking, laughing, and focusing on creating something beautiful. These are some of the kinds of moments that make life here feel like family!

So thankful to have Brother Steve Price with us this week for our Fall Bible Conference. What a blessing to gather around God’s Word and be encouraged as we study the faith of Abraham. Grateful for the ministry of the Scriptures and for the fellowship we’ve enjoyed together.

We took a beautiful country drive out to Southern Supreme yesterday, where we “just came to look”… and somehow still walked out with bags full of fruitcake and gifts for everyone we know. Samples may or may not have influenced these decisions.

After stocking up for the next decade of Christmases, we headed out for dinner together. A fun, relaxed outing and a great way to enjoy the season.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day at Pittsboro Christian Village 🇺🇸
Today we were honored to welcome a group of veteran volunteers who came to serve the many veterans who call PCV home. What a joy it was to share a meal together, swap stories across generations, and reflect on the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness.

We’re deeply thankful, for their service to our country, their continued service to others, and for the privilege of fellowship with these faithful men and women.

In every season of life, the Lord knows our needs and meets us with His goodness. We are reminded that true satisfaction is found in Him alone.

Dream Team!
So thankful for our Care Staff here at Pittsboro Christian Village.
The other day they dressed up in honor of Veterans Day , a reminder to pause and give thanks to all who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

Their joy, compassion, and dedication shine every day, and we are grateful for the love they pour into our residents.

Today we gathered to celebrate our November birthdays with homemade cake, sweet fellowship, and time spent sharing testimonies, favorite hymns, and even our favorite shades of blue. It was a joyful afternoon filled with stories, laughter, and encouragement.

We also took time to honor the many veterans who call Pittsboro Christian Village home. Their courage, sacrifice, and faithful service have blessed generations, and we are deeply grateful.

We are reminded often at PCV that every person here carries a lifetime of experiences, wisdom, and grace. Days like today are a gift.

“From generation to generation we will recount Your praise.” (Psalm 79:13)

We enjoyed a wonderful Movie Night together this week, watching War Room. With popcorn, snacks, and chocolate, and plenty of snacks to go around, it was more than just a movie, it was an encouraging reminder of the power of prayer and the difference it makes in our daily walk with the Lord. Grateful for time shared and truth remembered.

🍁 We had a wonderful time at our Fall Festival, hay rides, crafts, games, gospel tracts, and of course plenty of candy! It was such a joy to see our residents, families, and community come together. Praise the Lord for beautiful weather and for the opportunity to shine His light in all we do! 🍃
