This whole week my heart has been heavy. Heavy, but so overwhelmed with thankfulness.
Easter carries a beautiful tension—the kind that sits deep in your chest. It’s not just a celebration; it’s a remembrance of a love so sacrificial that it almost aches to hold it.
There’s a heaviness in knowing that grace was not free—it was paid for in full. The thought that an innocent Son bore unimaginable suffering, rejection, and the weight of every sin… it humbles you. It breaks your heart, because you realize the depth of what was endured on your behalf. The cross wasn’t just symbolic—it was personal. Every lash, every moment of agony, every breath surrendered was done with you in mind.
And yet, in that heartbreak, there’s overwhelming joy.
Because the story didn’t end in suffering—it ended in victory. The same sacrifice that brings tears to your eyes is the very thing that gave you life, freedom, and forgiveness. What should have been ours to carry, He took willingly. What we could never earn, He gave freely.
So your heart holds both—the sorrow of the cost and the joy of the gift.
It hurts because it was real. It heals because it was enough.
And that’s the beauty of Easter: a love so deep it breaks you… and a grace so powerful it puts you back together again. ✝️
