We are incredibly thankful to our community for helping the Gentiva Hospice team collect 176 pounds of food for Wesley House during our 21st Annual Food Drive. Each year, we proudly take part in this effort to support local hunger relief. Our staff deeply values organizations like Wesley House, especially as we witness the ongoing challenges of food insecurity among seniors in our community.

Gentiva Hospice and Medicalodges Pittsburg recently teamed up to hold a blanket drive. Around 150 blankets, 20 booties, 50 beanies, 6 shawls, and 3 coats were handed out to the Safehouse Crisis Center of Pittsburg, Pittsburg Fire Department, Oxford House of Pittsburg, and Wesley House. Gentiva Hospice and Medicalodges Pittsburg also want to thank Lighthouse Church and Oakview Estates of Frontenac for their large donations to the drive, as well as everyone else who donated to help keep our community warm! Pam Briley of Medicalodge and Treva Howard of Gentiva were instrumental in helping collect and pass out all of the blankets.
