In Loving Memory of Sammie Jo
Those we love never truly leave us.
They walk beside us every day—
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and forever dear.
Our sweet and spunky Sammie Jo danced her way into heaven on July 22, finally free from all pain. A true firecracker, Sammie had a sharp wit, a well-timed eye roll, and a smile that lit up every room she entered.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, a cigarette in hand, and good conversation flowing with friends. That porch was her kingdom, and she was its queen: the feisty lady in the pink bathrobe, holding court from her designated chair, solving the world’s problems one chat at a time.
Sammie was full of life and lived it entirely on her own terms. She adored her daughter, cherished her friends, and loved her family deeply. Pink was her color, cozy pajamas were her favorite attire, and a rainy afternoon was the perfect excuse for a long nap.
She had a soft spot for sweet treats, cold Coca-Cola, shopping trips with friends, and visits with staff and fellow residents. Always ready for a party or a spontaneous adventure, Sammie lived with joy, humor, and heart.
To know her was to love her—and to miss her deeply. Her spirit will forever live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have shared in her laughter, love, and sass.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Sammie.
