This position uses lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with emotional or behavioral challenges to provide encouragement, empathy, and guidance to other families.

A Parent Peer Support empowers caregivers to navigate the mental health system, strengthen family involvement in treatment, and build skills for a safe and supportive home environment.

Crawford County Mental Health Center is proud to be partnering with the Pittsburg Police Department for this event.

📅 It will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

📍 Located at the Pittsburg Police Department on 201 N. Pine St., Pittsburg, KS

This free, anonymous event provides a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medications.

✅ Accepted: Tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid prescription medication.
❌Not Accepted: Sharps, needles, injectors, and aerosol containers (inhalers).

Resources, free gun locks, and medication lock bags will also be available while supplies last.

We’re proud to announce our Third Annual Community Veterans’ Day Celebration, happening Friday, November 7, 2025, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium in Pittsburg.

Enjoy a free catered lunch as we come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the service and sacrifice of those who have worn the uniform. Guests will hear from local veterans, learn more about our Service Members, Veterans, and Families (SMVF) Program, and take part in a meaningful community tribute.
