Tornado warning issued for northern Labette County and northeastern Montgomery County in southeastern Kansas.

Warning remains in effect until 8:30 PM CDT.

At 7:32 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was over Cherryvale, moving east at 25 mph.

Hazards include a tornado and tennis‑ball‑size hail.

Radar indicates rotation; the storm has a history of producing tornadoes.

Expected impacts: dangerous flying debris, destruction of mobile homes, and damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and trees.

Storm expected near Parsons around 8:00 PM CDT.

Other impacted locations include Parsons Tri‑City Airport, Labette, Big Hill Lake, and Dennis.

Residents must take cover immediately in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor and avoid windows.

Those outdoors, in vehicles, or in mobile homes should move to substantial shelter and protect themselves from debris.
