I heard a concept today about falling forward that got me thinking.

We should all be striving for things in our lives that take discipline.

What happens to some of us, however, is we hit a roadblock or fail in some way and then we quit.

Roadblocks will come and failures will happen but instead of falling backwards and giving up...
..fall forward, get up, and keep going!

When I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, I just wanted the magic Rx from my doctor and to be on my way. When I realized I had the power to help my body heal, it was game on!

Gluten free, dairy free, elimination diets, juice fasts, supplements, exercise…it all became too much at one time and I. WAS. STRESSED.

I had to take a step back and understand that I needed small changes over time.

Diet and lifestyle changes take time to incorporate for the long term. What Health Coaching has taught me is that having someone in your corner, encouraging you, educating you, hearing your struggles, and cheering you on is something essential to have when making these changes.

In the realm of self-care, the options are limitless. The key is to identify which areas of your life need attention and engage in activities that support you on a regular basis. Examples of self-care include sleep, mediation, nature walks, alone time, reading, time with friends and family, journaling, vision boards, creating, vacationing, and the list goes on.

I personally love a brisk walk, preferably outside, while listening to uplifting and inspirational podcasts like Lewis Howes or Jay Shetty. How do you practice self-care?
