We are proud to announce our 2022 East End Behavioral Health Hospital Employee of the Year, Juane Lawson!

Juane is a Unit Clerk at East End and has continued to show our hospital’s values in her daily work. Here are some of the reasons why she was chosen Employee of the Year, and how our values have been put into place:

Collaborate: When we had a unit secretary vacancy, Juane picked up shifts to work with the least seasoned charge nurses so that she was there to assist the CNs with clerical responsibilities that would fall on them without a Unit Secretary.

Advocate: When Juane cannot answer a patient’s question or provide assistance, she finds someone who can. She takes initiative and always puts the patient first.

Respect: Juane is very respectful to patients and staff alike. She has a calm demeanor and a courteous tone. Juane is the face of customer service, and she will always stop what she is doing to help the patient needing assistance.

Educate: Juane has volunteered to educate other unit secretaries on several occasions with several new processes. Her willingness to help others and share her knowledge does not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful for her devotion to East End.

Serve:  Juane has a servant attitude. She helps the nursing staff with whatever she can, and you always know when Juane is working. The unit is tidy, and the chaos is organized. We at East End appreciate her dedication and professionalism.

Congratulations, Juane! We are so thankful you are part of our East End family.

During National Family Caregiver Month, we would like to thank all of you who serve as caregivers for children and adults suffering from mental health disorders and remind you to take steps to preserve your own health and well-being.
