✨🪐 Saturn stations retrograde on Saturday!
From 6/29-11/15, Saturn stations retrograde in Pisces. A retrograde planet means it begins to move backwards, forcing us to reflect on whatever themes come along with the planet and sign in question.
This time around, we have Saturn turning retrograde, and soon after, Neptune will be joining starting July 2nd until December. With both Neptune and Saturn in Pisces, spirituality, dreams, and empathy/compassion become major themes for the collective.
Saturn is all about karma, obstacles, responsibilities, long-term goals from pure hard work. Neptune rules illusions, dreams, and is very much so those “rose-colored glasses” that cloud up your entire field of view. When these planets go retrograde, it forces us to take a look inward and reflect, review, and refocus.
Saturn going retrograde gives us the opportunity to ask ourselves if the hard work we’ve been putting in for a certain goal is still worth it. This is our time to slow down and weigh our options before making our next move. That being said, Saturn also deals with karma. Have your actions these past 6 months coincided with your goals? Have you maintained compassion and empathy for your fellow peers in the face of obstacles and adversity? Depending on how you feel about these questions, may depend how Saturn retrograde will treat you. Just remember everything is a lesson, good or bad, and you can learn something in all of it.
Neptune in retrograde allows us to see reality for a few months, and sometimes a very harsh reality. Neptune is at home in Pisces, so it naturally wants to live in that fantasy world that is just so so much better than this real life we’ve got. When Neptune is retrograde, we’re forced to see things for what they really are. No more smoke and mirrors, no more daydreaming about it. You may realize that you must take action on your dreams, or that your dreams no longer agree with your life path. Neptune retrograde wants us to wake up, and gives us the opportunity to set ourselves back on the right path if we’ve veered too far off.
These two planets working in sync (almost) can help you fully realize what your true goals are, and just how to go about achieving them. Take the next 6-7 months to really look inside yourself and reflect on what it is you want out of life. Have compassion for others, as they’re feeling the same thing most likely. You can no longer live through a mask or a facade if you want to get to the top of the mountain. These transits will either help you carve out a new, more fitting path for yourself, or give you new ideas on how to keep progressing. But most importantly, take this time to SLOW DOWN. Do the inner work, and when these planets turn direct, you just may have some hefty rewards to collect.
Mutable signs (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius) may feel more affected by these transits than other signs, but it’s important to look at your whole chart and how it interacts with your own natal placements.
