Through strategy sessions, collaboration, and team-building—including some well-earned fun at Disney—we’re strengthening leadership to better support our caregivers so they can continue delivering the best care for our patients every day.

Our Aiken, South Carolina office is a special place—where a team of dedicated professionals works every day to support former Department of Energy workers and their families.

Led by Sarah and Jamie Shavelin, the Aiken team has built strong connections with the local community, bringing both compassion and expertise to patient care.

Beyond their work with patients, this team has fostered a workplace culture built on collaboration, respect, and a shared sense of purpose. Their impact is felt by everyone they serve and work alongside.

Last week, our founder Chad Shumway stopped by headquarters to speak with our Growth Team—and was greeted with a warm welcome, complete with the group chanting, ‘Chad! Chad!’

Fresh off the energy of the PEAK Summit, he shared a powerful story about a recent visit with the wife of one of our first patients, who has since passed—a meaningful connection he built early on and continues to cherish.

A powerful reminder that at the heart of everything we do are the patients and families we serve. Chad’s leadership inspires us to lead with heart, build real relationships, and stay focused on what truly matters.

Grateful for his wisdom, his impact, and the incredible culture he continues to foster.

Last week, our Growth Team gathered in Salt Lake City for an unforgettable PEAK Summit, setting the foundation for an incredible 2025.

Kicking off the event, Rick Brajer, Will Burton, and Derris Moore challenged us to think bigger, push harder, and elevate excellence—all with a shared commitment to serving the atomic workers and their families who have given so much to our nation.
