Not directly related to Korion, but: congratulations to Anna on her oral presentation, "Using experimental evolution to weaponize bacteriophages for chronic Burkholderia cenocepacia infections in patients with cystic fibrosis," last week at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference in Seattle!!! 🦠 🧬 🔬

In addition to co-founding Korion, she has been researching CF for more than 12 y and continues to explore more effective treatment methods during her MD-PhD at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon. She's attended the conference many times, but this is the first time her abstract was accepted for a talk. 🌟

Akshaya's talk is on Friday, October 24 at 11:25 am in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. 🏛️

Photos from the American Heart Association's Pittsburgh Heart Walk on Oct 4! 📸 We enjoyed a beautiful 2.5-mile forest walk, and numerous of our team met in-person for the first time. Our UPitt intern Sejal got to see our device, and we were also joined by Brian Beyer, CEO of Korion's manufacturing partner Hellbender Inc., and his dog Lyle!
