Spending time in nature supports our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. For Yoga in Nature at Gilfillan Farm, we weave together yoga with mindful wanderings on the grounds of the Farm.
In this three-part series, we will explore practices that embrace the energy of the seasons. Through mindful movement, breathwork, contemplation and connecting with nature, we will reflect on spring and craft intentions for summer. In the final class, we will culminate the series by observing and honoring the Summer Solstice on June 20.

Participants are encouraged to sign up for the full three-week series to create a community of practice. Enrollment will be capped at 8 participants.

Embodying your Practice is a therapeutic yoga series to explore the physical and energetic aspects of our practice, drawing on the framework of the koshas. Each session will have an area of concentration. In June we will be bringing our awareness to the areas of the pelvis and low back.

We’ll explore ways to hone your “felt sense” of your physical and energetic body through techniques to release, stabilize, strengthen and lengthen. In this workshop format, participants will have time to explore the practices, with opportunities to journal or take note of individual variations as well as share discoveries and insights with other participants.

This workshop is structured to support agency and confidence in navigating group classes and/or your home practice.

*This is part of our Sunday Funday Series where the first Sunday of each month we host workshop to explore concepts that are near and dear to your hearts.

Meet Tisha

Tisha is the center's founder, and teaches Sunday through Friday with a variety of classes including chair yoga, restoratives, functional and somatic movement, meditation and all aspects of the practice. She is a lifelong student, teacher, artist, intuitive empath and lover of nature. She creates spaces for students to feel truly supported in their journey on this path of yoga and healing. Here's what students are saying:
