Brain donation is an important part of Alzheimer's research. The University of Pittsburgh ADRC is able to provide this service to our participants. Through autopsy, we are able to diagnose the presence of Alzheimer's or other dementias. It also allows us to see other effects of neurodegenerative disease on the brain.
