When life hands you lemons (and it will from time to time) what do you do?

I'm taking a page from this waterfall today:
1. Don't fight the current, lean into it.
2. Keep moving forward, even if you have to pivot
3. Wash it off. Eventually the water will clear.

If your "lemon" is physical, emotional or a series of unfortunate events, this is your sign to just flow.

❤️

Co-Regulation allows us to borrow someone else's calm when we need it. If your world feels loud, lean in to that hug. Your nervous system will thank you.

And for those of you wondering, yes, I filled out a survey about my experience and called this young man's manager. His mama must be so proud. 💜

My nervous system is currently under a lot of pressure. I’m grieving and my mental chatter is at an all-time high.

In moments like this, I don't try to meditate it away. I don't ask my mind to be quiet. That's asking too much of a heart that’s hurting.

Instead, I look for signals of safety. I look at the fractals in this plant (the repeating patterns nature uses to build itself). I let my eyes trace the leaves. I use my senses to calm and promote ease. I don't try to fix my feelings; I just try to tell my nervous system that, despite the pain, I am physically safe at this moment.

If you’re white-knuckling your way through a hard season, stop trying to force calm. Just look for a signal.

On 3/2 at , we aren't just practicing quiet. We are practicing how to find that signal when life feels like too much. I'd love to have you there.

I was able to get outside the other day after the crisis and I'll definitely need it again today.

Was it perfect? No
Did it help my nervous system? 💯

While my body is reeling from the stress, this little action in nature helped me reset.

One step at a time. That's all it takes.

The tools don't stop the crisis, they just help you survive it.

My senior dog nearly died yesterday. In the middle of the panic, my clinical brain and my human heart collided. I didn't need a manifestation or a vibe. I needed a physiological anchor.

I grabbed my Hoberman sphere because the breath is a real-time anchor we have for the nervous system.

Breathe with me for 30 seconds. No fluff. Just mechanics.

Unpopular opinion: Our nervous systems don’t care about flowers or chocolates.

They care about safety.

This Valentine’s Day, radical self-love isn’t just a solo act. It’s a collective one & it’s absolutely needed. When we choose to regulate, we give everyone around us permission to do the same.

No fancy reservations or grand gestures. Just a day of self love and spreading kindness.
Self-love isn't just a vibe. It's our shift towards presence without the pressure to perform.

Quick check-in: Where are your shoulders right now?
A) Up by my ears 😬 B) Starting to drop C) Actually relaxed! ✨

Drop your letter below. Let’s take a collective breath. 👇

Did you know your heart has its own "little brain"? It sends more signals to your head than your head sends to your heart. In clinical terms, this regulation is a "bottom-up" process.

You can’t always think your way into safety, but you can lead your system there through the body.

Trust the heart. It knows.💜

Feb 22 at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden 🌿

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is soften. We spend so much time "regulating" like it’s a task on a to-do list, but true heart-centered regulation starts with self-compassion.

When we trade self-criticism for a gentle breath, our heart rate variability settles, and our nervous system finally feels safe enough to let go. Come join us at the gardens for a morning of quiet and deep gentleness.

25 years of clinical and somatic tools have brought me here.

I’m currently deep in the process of weaving it all together into the R.E.S.T. Roadmap™.

This isn't just another program for your "to-do" list. It’s for the woman who has successfully checked every box, yet still feels that quiet, persistent sense of emptiness.

It’s a way to rebuild your internal capacity without adding a single extra weight to your plate.

The path is being finalized as we speak. (And as you can see in my first slide, my assistant is taking the R.E.S.T. part very seriously 🐕.)

More to come when the path is ready for you. For now, we lean into the process.

Hit “save” if you’re ready to trade "doing more" for "being more" this year.

Why do I open my YTT modules to the public?

Because you shouldn’t need a certification to understand your own body.

Movement is a language & in March we’ll learn how to speak it fluently.

Your nervous system doesn't just react to your boss or your to-do list.
It reacts to your biology.

When your blood sugar mimics a roller coaster, your body interprets those dips as a survival threat. That tightness in your jaw? Maybe it’s just a glucose crash in disguise.

As I reflect on our winter reset session with Phipps, the takeaway is clear. Sometimes regulation starts on your plate, not your meditation mat.

Stop the "fight or flight" before it even starts. 🌿

If nature takes a beat to go dormant, why don’t we? 🏔️

From the peaks of Mt. Rainier to the hearth of a fire, winter is a season that demands a different pace.

It’s not just in your head.

Your nervous system actually requires different nutritional and sleep support during these months.

Join me Monday, Feb 2nd for an online Winter Reset with Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens & let's align your system with the season. We’ll be diving into the nuance of sleep, nutrition, and regulation, all from the comfort of home.
