Last Friday our team had the great honor of attending The University of Pittsburgh's Pitt Business Health Sciences and Business Conference. We heard from a great deal of accomplished and intelligent individuals from all different specialties. Our very own Dr. Jaideep Behari spoke on one of the panels and we even had the pleasure of hearing the patient perspective on health systems from Tony NASH kNOWledge. The most important takeaway from this conference is that we need the knowledge that comes from every point of view to create the best possible patient-centered healthcare system. Thank you Pitt Business for having us!

Today is Global Fatty Liver Day. We had the honor of joining the organization NASH kNOWledge in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital yesterday to hand out informational materials. Today is a reminder to monitor your health and reach out when you need help. There are many resources available for those struggling with MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatosis Liver Disease) or a fatty liver. Feel free to access the NASHkNOWledge website and many others for answers or connect with our team for research opportunities.

Happy Valentines Day and National Donor Day! ❤️ We are so incredibly grateful to all of our research participants, we wouldn't be able to improve the way we care for and treat patients without your help. Today is a reminder to give a little extra love to your liver and show those in your life that you care for them.

On a day when people celebrate love by exchanging flowers and chocolates, there's another way you can show you care for others – by making a life-saving decision to become an organ donor.

National Donor Day is observed every year on February 14. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of organ, eye, tissue, blood, bone marrow, and platelet donation. National Donor Day is also an opportunity to recognize those who have given the gift of donation, have benefitted from a donation, are currently waiting for a life-saving donation, or did not receive an organ in time. Give the gift of life. https://go.upmc.com/17906M-JY
