We’re hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with higher personal care and hygiene needs in a residential setting. This is a hands-on role focused on personal care, safety, and mitigating behaviors using approved strategies.

Available Full-Time Shifts:

🕘 Shift 1 (33 hrs/week):
• Mondays 8am–10pm
• Wednesdays 8a-3pm
• Fridays 8am–10pm

🕘 Shift 2 (36.5 hrs/week):
• Wednesday–Friday 3pm–10:30pm
• Saturdays 8am–10pm

Avid Care is currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team! We have 3 open Weekend Block shifts available—perfect for those looking for steady weekend work.

Weekend Shifts (Saturday–Sunday):

2. Saturday 9:00 AM – Sunday 9:30 PM
3. Saturday 8:00 AM – Sunday 9:30 PM

These are live-in weekend shifts, meaning you’ll stay at the home for the full duration.
A valid driver’s license is required.

Position 1 (39 Total Hours)

3pm-11pm Friday
7:30a- 11pm Saturday
7:30a - 9:30pm Sunday

Opportunity for Overtime

$250 sign-on bonus paid after successful completion of 90 days of employment

The roles and responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional include but not limited to the following:

Provide individualized care, implement activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living areas to foster maximum independence of the individual
Assist with chores necessary to maintain as normal a living environment as possible, (i.e., laundry and housekeeping)
Attend required in-service trainings
Mitigate self-injurious behavior
Observe the individuals’ behaviors and changes in physical conditions, and report accurately
Complete and maintain documentation of individual records
Offer input toward Individual Support Planning (ISP)
Maintain inventory of individuals’ personal belongings
Assist and encourage individuals to engage in various activities in the home and community
Maintain professional, effective communication with other agency personnel, individual families, and outside contacts
Identifying and recognizing the needs of the individuals (e.g. meal planning, laundry, house cleaning, etc.)
Access to a fully insured personal vehicle to perform job duties
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum of 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Three (3) years experience working directly with individuals with development disabilities (preferred)
Able to assist in lifting individuals of various weights
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and insurance
Access to personal vehicle
