This group is facilitated by Christine Lee-Zirkle and meets virtually on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. The Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group is open to individuals diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and offers a safe space for participants to share experiences and emotions, fostering meaningful connections.

Living with a brain tumor—or supporting someone who is—can bring unique challenges. You don’t have to navigate them alone. Our Brain Tumor Support Group offers a compassionate space to connect with others who understand, share experiences, and find encouragement.

Facilitated by Elizabeth Schandelmeier, this monthly group meets on the 3rd Thursday and welcomes individuals with a primary brain cancer diagnosis and their supporters. Some sessions feature open discussion, while others offer educational topics or guest speakers.

Join our Virtual Caregiver Support Group Tuesday, August 19th from 6–7 PM for a welcoming, compassionate space to connect, share, and feel supported by others who truly understand the caregiving journey.

Facilitated by Ashley Cross, this free group meets twice a month and is open to anyone supporting a loved one through cancer—at any stage.

💻 Virtual with Supply Kit Pickup at Cancer Bridges

Start your Saturday with a little creativity! Join Nicole for a relaxing morning making a sweet seashell decoupage dish—perfect for a nightstand, vanity, or by the sink. You’ll make two: keep one and share one.

Your free supply kit includes seashells, colorful tissue paper, Mod Podge, and a paintbrush. All you’ll need at home is a pair of scissors.

✨ Welcome, Liza Albidress – Our New Clinical Director! ✨

We are thrilled to welcome Liza Albidress, MS, MSW, LCSW, to the Cancer Bridges team as our new Clinical Director.

Liza brings extensive experience in hospice, palliative care, aging services, and chronic care social work, along with advanced training in mindfulness, yoga for cancer patients, chronic pain management, and grief support. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with over 500 hours of specialized training!

In her new role, Liza will oversee and expand our emotional support programs and services for adults impacted by cancer, support groups, supervise our incredible clinical team, and guide our internship program to help shape the next generation of oncology mental health professionals.

Please join us in giving Liza a warm welcome! 💙

Moving Through Grief Family Picnic 💛

Join us Saturday, August 23rd at 1:00 PM at North Park Lake as we celebrate five years of the Moving Through Grief program.

If you’ve participated, we invite you for an afternoon of connection, remembrance, and community. We’ll provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks — please bring a side dish or dessert that reminds you of your loved one to share.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, enjoy games for all ages, and don’t miss the special performance by Dominick the Magician.
