Mardi Gras, or "Fat Tuesday" (Feb. 17, 2026), is the final day of feasting before Lent, famously celebrated with indulgent, fatty foods like pancakes, crepes, and King Cakes. It represents the last chance to use up butter, eggs, and sugar before the 40-day Lenten fast. It is widely celebrated on Shrove Tuesday with parades, masks, and parties in New Orleans, LA.

So with keeping with tradition, we had a pancake luncheon with all kinds of pancakes… blueberry, chocolate chip, strawberry, glazed pecan and even whipped cream.
