THIS AFTERNOON: We want the garden to look its best for the Yard Sale! Volunteers are meeting again today (1-3 PM) in Mechanics Retreat for weeding, and clearing vines and debris.

Last week volunteers came out and helped us stock and organize the new shed in addition to weeding and watering our new trees. Thank you for your help!

TOMORROW - Want to help beautify our neighborhood? Volunteer with your neighbors at Mechanics Retreat from 1-3 PM, with complimentary coffee & tea from Commonplace! We need help with weeding and other springtime garden tasks.

Our new blueberry bushes are starting to produce fruit, and we even got a new garden shed.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Calling all Gardners! Spring has sprung, and there are new signs of life in our neighborhood oasis: the beautiful new shrubs we received from - and of course the inevitable weeds.

We will be holding volunteer sessions over the spring and summer for maintaining the park - that includes weeding, digging, planting, and more!

Interested in volunteering? Fill out this survey and tell us when you're free and how you can contribute.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Mechanics Retreat. Weather permitting, volunteers meet at least weekly - or as needed! We have tasks like weeding or general clean up that can be done at any time. After you submit this form our master garden consultant will reach out to you.

It was a Monumental Day in Mechanic's Retreat Garden! History Was Made today and 40 years from now it is going to look spectacular!
Thank you to all of the volunteers from Tree Pittsburgh, and our amazing garden consultant, Susan Benn!
The garden is shaping up to looking its best it's ever been! There's more to come, we are not done with the transformation! There are a lot more trees to plant at a later date. Take some time to wonder over and check out all of the new additions to the garden while you get a coffee from Commonplace Coffee
