I am an Advanced Clinician in Imago Relationship Therapy, a Certified Life Coach, and have been in private practice since 1998. My focus with my clients is helping them develop self-love and self-trust. I am experienced in working with individuals facing the challenges of recovery from addictions, including drug, alcohol, food, gambling and other addictive behaviors, as well as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, women's issues, and life transitions. Clients work with me on improving self-esteem, building self-confidence, and enhancing self-image. Body image concerns, as well as healing from trauma and abuse, gaining spiritual clarity, and developing healthy relationships are also primary issues that I focus on with my clients. I utilize a variety of experiential exercises, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), visualization and relaxation techniques, as well as teaching new coping skills to help my clients ensure that the insights they gain in therapy result in changed behaviors and an enhanced quality of life. As an Advanced Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, I specialize in working with couples in all stages of their relationship. I use the healing techniques of Imago Therapy to enhance communication and develop increased safety and empathy between the relationship partners. Imago techniques have been proven to truly change the dynamic of relationships to ones that are healing and supportive. My clients report a true sense of change in their lives as a result of working together. They are often in sustained recovery from addiction, co-dependency, and other debilitating disorders. I tend to have truly amazing relationships with my clients. I always strive to support them in a non-judgmental manner that provides them with the validation and empathy they usually never got as they developed. It is the relationship between my clients and I that has proven to be a key element in their change process. Truly, I love my work; it is my passion. It is a gift to be a part of my client's journeys of transformation. It's pretty amazing to witness such growth!

You got this! Instead of future tripping and worrying about whether you will handle life, sometimes from the perspective of hte present moment, we can remind ourselves we are already doing some pretty hard things and managing. We are already sending ourselves data that we got this, when we go looking for it with the lens of the present!

06/03/2024

Do you have what you want? We often know we aren't satisfied, yet aren't super-clear on what we want. We also might miss that we already have some of what we want!

Let's enjoy Play!

05/25/2024

Wouldn't it be nice to feel gotten and understood? That's the job of validation. It's such a gift to see ourselves and others and make sense of it all.

ANTS: Automatic Negative Thoughts. Got any scurrying around in there? We all do.

05/22/2024

Do you yearn for connection? You aren't alone. It's a universal need and one that we often keep ourselves from obtaining. Learn why.

05/21/2024

Can you make sense of yourself? Can you check in and see if you reactivity makes sense of whatever you are becoming more and more aware of. Inevitably, we all make sense!

05/20/2024

Your truth is exactly as you say it is. From the lens you are using, inevitably the perspective you are having makes sense. We want to learn to acknoweldge and honor our truth.

05/17/2024

Let's talk about your lens. Your lens is the way you see the world. Inevitably, it is going to be different than anyone else's lens. Learning to honor that our lens' are going to be different helps us be curious about instead of threatened by our varying ways of seeing the world.

05/16/2024

When we get clear on what we want more or less of in our lives, it's up to us to 'do' something differently than we've done before so we can get different results. Even a small shift yields big impacts.

05/13/2024

How are you with your expectations? Setting reasonable expectations sets us up for the greatest yield of happy and lowest yield of disappointment!

05/11/2024

Give yourself any appreciations lately? We rarely do. We are more apt to shame and criticize ourselves than reach out with appreciating. We are all doing hard things, all the time. We can empower ourselves just by taking note and acknoweldging ourselves for all that we do. It makes a difference.

05/09/2024

Love yourself? Often what we are telling ourselves are old tapes we learned in family of origin and they might not be the healthiest messages we are potentially sending. Get comfortable speaking compassionately to yourself instead!

05/08/2024

We all yearn to feel 'gotten'. To be understood and to have our reactions make sense. The first place to start is with yourself. Help yourself feel safe, just by making sense of your own reactiosn.

05/07/2024

What are your intentions for yourself? How do you want to show up to you? How is that different than how you do?

05/06/2024

We all have worth and value. Due to trauma and varying messaging, many of us have come to deny that inherent worth and instead live down into a space of worthless or 'it's not worth it'. Thinking on if this is you and if you'd like to instead move into owning your undeniable worth and value as a human.

05/01/2024

Do you journal? It can be such a useful tool to gain perspective and get some clarity on some of the angst that's going on within you. The time you spend journaling really sends messages from self to self that you are invested in your own wellbeing and you care. Pretty important messages to be sending!

04/29/2024

Do you know what you want? We often don't have a feeling of satisfaction yet we aren't quite sure what we are missing. Spending some time getting curious and listening to your heart centered yearnings can help you know what you are ready for more and less of in your world.
