We are so excited to add another speech therapist to our team!! Megan is a recent graduate of Duquesne’s speech program and will be completing her clinical fellowship with Therapy Works! Fun fact: Megan’s sister was a speech client with Therapy Works which inspired her to pursue becoming a speech therapist. Next up in our summer group recap series is our “Fun with Food” summer group. This group utilizes the Sequential-Oral-Sensory Approach, better known as the SOS approach, to target feeding difficulties. The goal of this group is to build confidence and expand accepted foods by encouraging play and child led exploration of food. This year Holly and Kaitlin included themes such as ocean, superhero, breakfast, and space and worked with the kids to explore the sensory aspects of their food (color, feel, smell, sound, shape, size etc.)
