HMA was started in 1979 by Samuel Maccarone to provide Tax and Consulting services to Physicians, Private Practices, Small Businesses and Individuals. Realizing the need to improve his client’s medical claim billing and bottom line, Sam decided to expand HMA services to include Medical Billing and Practice Management. Over the years and through numerous partnerships, we have developed a wide range of products and services that enable us to provide our clients with a complete solution for the entire medical practice workflow. We have built our company based on the belief that physicians prefer to manage the health of their patients and not be consumed with the ever changing rules, regulations and difficulties with insurance companies. HMA acts as an extension of your business and provides the consulting that enables you to make better decisions and help facilitate the goals of your practice.
