Cyberdyne CEO Dr. Yoshiyuki Sankai recently visited Pittsburgh, engaging universities, health care, and industry leaders on exoskeletons, aging-tech, and cross-sector collaborations.

Dr. Sankai's visit built on recent cross-sector international collaboration efforts aligned with his work and broader global trends, which were explored in JHF's recent study tour to Japan.

PRHI's Board heard updates from the Coalition for Advancing Safer Healthcare (CASH) on scalable patient safety proposals spanning human factors, technology, data, and consumer tools. Work groups are preparing recommendations and a national ROI model, with a white paper due in 2026.

PRHI's CASH coalition presented progress on human-factors, technology, data, and direct-to-consumer safety initiatives, aiming for scalable, ROI-driven systemwide adoption.

Code Clock was created to improve resuscitation outcomes. After building its first prototype in early 2024, the team won the $10K Patient Safety Technology Challenge prize at University of Utah Health’s 2024 Bench to Bedside competition.
