1. Stay Hydrated and Nourished:
Summer heat increases the risk of dehydration, which can lead to muscle cramps and fatigue.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even before you feel thirsty.
Ensure you're eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables to support your body's needs during increased activity.

3. Choose Appropriate Activities:

Hiking: Enjoy nature while building leg and core strength. Ensure you have proper footwear and be mindful of your posture.
Cycling: A great way to improve cardiovascular health and leg strength, but be mindful of your posture and take breaks.
Yoga and Pilates: Gentle exercises that improve flexibility, balance, and mindfulness.
Gardening: A fun way to stay active, but use raised beds or containers to reduce strain on your back.
Walking: A simple way to increase circulation and support spinal alignment.

Keep heavy loads close to your body .
Maintain good posture .

Happy New Year to all! Now that the holiday dust is settling and we are getting back to our “normal”routines, let’s not forget to take care of our spinal health!

Why is it Crucial to Take Regular Spinal Health Checkups?

The spine is an integral part of the human body. It supports & protects the spinal cord and is responsible for transmitting messages from the brain to the rest of the body. Because of its complex structure, the spine is more prone to contract injuries, infections, tumors, and degenerative diseases. Many of these conditions can cause severe pain, loss of function, and reduced quality of life.

Despite the significant role of the spine for overall functioning, many people ignore their spinal health until they experience pain or discomfort. Here comes the importance of regular spinal health checkups.

Top 4 Reasons to Take Regular Spinal Health Checkups

1. Early Detection of Spinal Problems

Regular spinal health checkups help detect spinal problems before time. This is especially important for conditions like scoliosis, which can become severe quickly if left untreated. Early detection can help prevent further damage to the spine and improve the chances of successful treatment.

2. Preventative Care

Preventative care is always better than reactive care. With regular spinal health checkups, it becomes easier to identify potential problems before they arise. It means you can take essential steps beforehand to prevent spinal problems from developing in the first place. For example, if you have poor posture or a sedentary lifestyle, a health expert can recommend exercises and stretches to help improve your spinal health.

3. Improve Overall Well-Being

The spine is connected to many other body parts, including the nervous system. Regular spinal health checkups can help improve overall health by ensuring that the spine is aligned and functioning properly. When the spine is aligned, the nervous system can function optimally, helping you improve overall health and well-being.

4. Better Quality of Life

Taking regular spinal health checkups can help improve your overall quality of life. You perform daily activities without pain or discomfort when your spine is healthy. Regular checkups ensure the better health of your spine, allowing you to live your life to the fullest.

Final Words

Regular spinal health checkups are essential for maintaining good spinal health. It helps detect spinal problems early on, prevent future problems from arising, improve overall health, reduce pain and discomfort, and improve the overall quality of life. If you haven’t had a spinal health checkup in a while, it’s time to schedule one today!

The fact of the day: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Studies have shown that patients experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome have a deficiency of Vitamin B6. It has also been found that combined with vitamin B2, the rate of pain relief and use of wrist increases after a three month trial.

The dosage is 100 mg. of B6 with 50 mg. Of B2 daily for three months. It’s worth an attempt prior to having surgery.

Enjoy your Sunday and hope to see you soon!
