Together, we learned how to recognize common scams, spot red flags in emails, texts, and phone calls, and feel more confident navigating today’s computer-driven world.

Knowledge is power, and we’re proud of the residents for taking steps to stay informed and protected.

Ridgecrest of McCandless is pleased to continue a monthly Parkinson’s Support Group through our partnership with the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western Pennsylvania.

Last week, we enjoyed a very unique program as we hosted Joe and Anna of Mercurio’s Pizza, representing the John Arena Foundation, who led the group in a pizza-making class!

The John Arena Foundation is a nonprofit program dedicated to creating and providing empowering culinary experiences and activities for people living with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions that affect movement.

Several attendees made their own pizzas while we all learned so much about the art of pizza making.
