The warm wine slushies, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were being served at our afternoon pajama party! We listened to music and danced, played trivia, ate delicious snacks prepared by the kitchen staff, and even got to wear our robes and slippers! It was fun and funny to experience this pajama party-themed activity, where we laughed so hard our faces hurt! At South Hills Square, we love to have themed happy hours where we all get to experience a sense of youthfulness and days gone by! Our residents love to share the stories of their lives “back then.” And we love hearing about them, too. Each of them has amazing life experiences to share, and it helps us get to know each other, our neighbors, even better!

No amount of snow can keep this crew from having a very happy hour! We may have a foot of snow and below-zero temperatures, but social time is heating up on Fridays with wonderful food from the kitchen, specialty drinks from the Lifestyle Director, and entertaining music from our hired musicians! Every Friday from 3-4 pm, we bring in all the goodies to warm your soul, make you smile, and maybe even get you up to dance! Our Fridays at South Hills Square are really good time and we look forward to them!

Our residents enjoy crafting every other week! Here, we were doing a craft with buttons donated by other residents. Some of the buttons have been passed down through the families for years, and we were honored to use them and keep them “alive” in our artwork!

South Hills Square's Lifestyle Director is now certified in Ageless Grace, a body/brain exercise program by Denise Medved. We meet twice a week for 30 minutes to move, sing, breathe, and laugh. This fun program challenges our minds and bodies through patterns and counting, all while being silly. It keeps our brains sharp and our bodies flexible and strong. These sessions are popular, filling our fitness center with residents. It's a great opportunity to have fun and socialize while improving both physical and mental well-being.

Our wonderful New Year's Eve celebration began with a specially prepared dinner by Chef John, followed by some wine, dessert, and dancing! It was a lovely celebration of sharing and laughter, especially after the balloons dropped and we sang Auld Lang Syne! We welcomed 2026 at 8 pm instead of 12 am, which gave us a head start on our New Year’s resolutions! Our 2025 calendar was filled with great events and activities, and our 2026calendar is looking even better!
