Age 74, of Penn Hills, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Beloved husband of Bev Gardner; father of Jimmy Gardner, Sissy (Christopher Parada) Gardner, and Jeffrey (Amy) Gardner; grandfather of Eddie, Ethan, Sydney, and Claire; brother of Sandra (David) Allen. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Bob loved gardening, especially making sure his hedges were perfectly straight. He will also be missed by his cats Tori-Yorgey and Tiger. Joseph “Joe” Mario Mavrodis

Age 32, of Plum, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Beloved son of Mark Mavrodis and Evelyn Mavrodis; brother of Megan (Tim Konopka) Mavrodis. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends especially Mike Peterson, and his beloved dog Coal. Joe had a special talent for art and bringing a smile to everyone’s face with a good joke.

Janice D. Ciorra (Libroth)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Ciorra, a devoted wife, cherished mother, and beloved friend, who left this world tragically Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the age of 67.

Born on August 20, 1957 in New Kensington, PA, Janice lived a life marked by grace, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She was the heart of her home, a steady presence whose warmth and laughter filled every room she entered.

As a wife, she was a true partner. Her marriage to Neal was a beautiful testament to love, built on mutual respect and shared dreams. Together, they created a home that radiated joy and comfort.

As a mother and grandmother, Janice was fiercely loving. She poured her heart into raising her children, instilling in them the values of empathy, resilience, and integrity. Her love was unconditional, her guidance gentle yet firm, and her pride in her children immeasurable.

She will be remembered for her generous spirit and her infectious laugh. Whether through a kind word, a home-cooked meal, or a day out shopping, Janice touched countless lives.

Janice is survived by her mother Dorothy Mae Libroth (Mrakich), loving husband of 48 years, Neal Ciorra; her children, Mark Anthony (Kelly) Ciorra and Jeffrey Neal Ciorra; her grandchildren, Reagan Miksch and Geno Ciorra, and many other family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennie Samantha Ciorra, her father Samuel Charles Libroth, her father-in-law Niel Ciorra and her mother-in-law Josephine Ciorra (Bruno).

Paul J. Feathers

Age 93, of Penn Hills, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 26, 2025. Paul was born in Homewood, PA, the youngest of four sons, to Edgar and Helen Feathers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Lou, his daughters, Jennifer (Bill) Fabrizi, Caryn (Dan) Price, grandsons Bill Fabrizi, Jr. (Katie), and Matthew Fabrizi, great-grandson Wyatt Fabrizi, and brother Bill (Marian) Feathers.

Paul was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church of Penn Hills, PA. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, proudly serving as an Electrician’s Mate from 1950 -1954. Paul retired from the Bell Telephone System in 1991, having worked as a lineman and installer for 34 years.

Lawrence “Larry” Albert Vogel

Age 60, recently of Murrysville, formerly of Yardley PA, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Son of Lawrence P. Vogel and the late Carolyn Vogel.

Larry recently moved back to the Pittsburgh area to be closer to family in retirement. Larry retired from NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT) in October 2022 after a 35-year career as a civil engineer and Traffic Impact Coordinator (TIC).

Larry will be remembered always for his life-long love of baseball (and his collection of over 100,000 baseball cards); his interest and musings on the Civil War (for the Delaware Valley Civil War Round Table newsletter); his numerous trips to Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame and Civil War battlefields; and his 20+ years as a coach for the Midget Eagles and in leadership roles for the Hamilton Football League of New Jersey.

Larry will be dearly missed by his father, Lawrence, his two sisters Laura Duff (Jim) and Lynn Vogel (Josh), his nephews Doug Duff (Melissa) and Will Duff (Sadye) and two grand-nephews Brody and Liam. Larry was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Vogel (in 2013), and his beloved 20-year old cat Kiwi (in 2020).

Beloved husband of the late Anna; father of the late Guy (surviving Carmella) Ingagliato, Jr. and Diane (surviving Rob) Llewellyn; grandfather of Michele (Jason) Bonace and Nicholas Ingagliato; great-grandfather of Giavanna Bonace, Andrew Bonace, and Arianna Bonace; brother of Connie Valare, Rose Pollice, and the late Mary Petrocelli, Kitty Chugan, Fred Michaels, Alfred Ingagliato, Lola Petrucci, and Eleanor Russo. Beloved daughter of Scott Werner and the late Irene Anzelone; step-daughter of the late Richard Malley; sister of Angel (Don) Kuhn, Marisa Werner, Natalie Werner, and Brianna Werner; aunt of Harper, Donny and Ivy; niece of Gina Anzelone, Louis (Maryanne) Anzelone, and Rocco (Jessica) Anzelone; cousin of Sam Wyland, Jesse And Avery Anzelone. Also survived by her dog Bruiser. Tara was known for her beautiful smile and could light up a room. She had a deep love for her dog Bruiser and animals in general. Age 89, of Plum, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, March 29, 2025. Son of the late William and Marie Russo; beloved husband of the late Helen (Homison); father of Daniel (Sharon) Russo, Sandra (David) Cardinale, Renee (Michael) Rihn, Linda (Kevin) Walker, Kenneth (Sherri) Russo, and the late Kevin Russo; pappy of Michael Hyde, Adam (Emily) Hyde, Kelly (William) Crankshaw, Andrea (Tyler) Stiner, Jacquelin Walker, William (Talyssa) Walker, Vanessa Russo, Morgan (fiancé Joshua Pentin) Rihn, and Sean Rihn; great-grandfather of Sophia, Wyatt, Grant, Selah, Bennett, and Peyton; brother of Edward (Angela) Russo, Shirley (Russ) Biondo, and the late Roberta “Sis” (John) Trainor. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. “Pappy” was the proud owner and operator of his own trucking company. He enjoyed camping with his family, bonfires in the yard, vintage car shows with his ’53 “Vicky”, attending the races at Lernerville Speedway every Friday night, and riding the lawn mower. For those that knew him, he was a well-known and kind hearted gentleman that was always willing to lend a hand when needed. Down time for him was spending time in a garage with the guys.
