Mark leads with humility, heart, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. We see the impact of his leadership every day, and we're so grateful for the way he champions our team and our mission.

The PNRC is proud to dedicate its March 2026 Member of the Month honor to Mark Heinbockel, Executive Director at Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry, one of this year's Nonprofit Excellence Award finalists!

"It's been a pleasure to watch Mark grow in his career over the last ten-plus years," said PNRC Board Chair Tom Baker. "He is doing an exceptional job leading Anchorpoint. He was also a driving force in the creation of Nonprofits North and continues to provide guidance for the coalition.

"From hosting Mark as our graduate intern what feels like a lifetime ago at Big Brothers Big Sisters to having a ringside seat of him as a direct colleague at BBBS after he completed his graduate studies, Mark is always learning and growing.

Strong communities are built through shared learning and collaboration 🤝

We were honored to partner with the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh last week as two of our counselors led a workshop for youth ministry leaders on adolescent brain development.

Thank you to the Diocese for welcoming us and to Jenna and Karen for sharing their knowledge and care in supporting young people where they are.

It was so nice to catch up with Brian Gongaware, CFP at the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council's annual meeting yesterday!

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in Giving Tuesday with us! We are immensely grateful for the support we received during , which will help provide dozens of counseling sessions to neighbors who can't afford them.

Overall, $3,253,290 was raised in support of nonprofits all over the city. We have seen firsthand the amazing things that can happen when our community comes together to give back, and Pittsburgh really is such a generous, wonderful place to be!

Last week, we were honored to attend the Brave Women Project's 3rd Annual Pillar Awards. More than 60 powerful women were nominated for the way they Educate, Empower, Encourage, Engage, and Evolve. A special shoutout to Anchorpoint Board Member Gabrielle Morella for her well-deserved nomination in the Evolve category🌟

It was so inspiring to be surrounded by women who lead with courage and purpose. Congrats to all of the nominees and honorees who are making such a meaningful impact on our community!
