Most of us were never taught how to feel our emotions in the body. Instead, we were taught to suppress, distract, or push through them. But emotions don’t just disappear—they live in the body.

Ever noticed how anger makes your chest feel tight? Or how sadness weighs on your shoulders? That’s because emotions have a physical presence. And in yoga, we understand them through the Gunas:

🔥 Rajas (Movement): Intensity, restlessness, agitation
🌑 Tamas (Heaviness): Stagnation, fatigue, withdrawal
✨ Sattva (Balance): Clarity, peace, expansion

When we tune in to where emotions live in our body, we can learn to process them instead of staying stuck in them.

When stress takes over, our breath becomes shallow, keeping us stuck in fight-or-flight mode. By intentionally slowing your breath, you can signal to your body that it’s safe to relax.

✨ Try this 3-minute breath reset:
1️⃣ Inhale for 4 counts
2️⃣ Hold for 4 counts
3️⃣ Exhale for 6 counts
🔄 Repeat 3x
