Jason's career in physical therapy began right where his roots were planted, central Pennsylvania. Growing up in South Williamsport, he headed to Misericordia University with two goals: to play basketball and to pursue his passion for helping others through a degree in Physical Therapy. After graduating, he returned home, started his career in a local skilled nursing facility—and soon after, started his family too.
As life got busier, Jason picked up a PRN role with UPMC. He quickly realized what made UPMC different: support leadership, reliable teammates, and the flexibility his family needed.
Fifteen years later, he made the jump to full-time Home Health with UPMC and hasn't looked back.
What motivates him today? Seeing patients succeed where it matters most, in their everyday lives.
"People will walk up to me at a store or church and say 'Hey, remember me?' Super gratifying!! It is certainly fulfilling to know that I am affecting your independence and your ability to enjoy your life," Jason says.
Home health therapy looks different from clinic-based care, and that's what Jason loves about it. Kitchen sinks become parallel bars. Yards and driveways become gait-training terrain. The therapy isn't theoretical, it's practical.
Above all, Jason values his team that brings together a wide range of clinical backgrounds and encourages collaboration at every level. At UPMC, he's found a workplace where he feels heard, valued, and equipped to make a difference.
