BABICHacoustics was proud to partner with PWWG Architects , Koning Eizenberg, and the rest of the Design and Construction Team on the renovation of the historic Carnegie Library -- now home to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh MuseumLab. This project won a prestigious Dezeen Award in 2020.

Our team conducted a pre-construction acoustical survey and worked closely with the design team to provide sound and impact isolation between tenants, along with tailored acoustic treatments for studios, classrooms, offices, and more.

No matter how many years go by, September will always be associated with that back-to-school feeling. We are honored for the many opportunities we have received to help improve university campus buildings across the country, and at home here in Pittsburgh.

We helped with acoustical design for this new, five story multi-disciplinary building for Carnegie Mellon University to support programs in their College of Engineering, School of Computer Science, and Mellon College of Science.

Site visits are one of the exciting parts of our job – completing a walkthrough with the project team, running our diagnostics, and problem-solving to ensure an appropriate acoustical environment.

At Eastside Bond Apartments in Pittsburgh, we conducted environmental noise and vibration testing prior to construction, along with acoustical analyses of retail tenants located below the apartments. Last Friday, we participated in our annual team volunteering day at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank! Jeff, Annie, Martin, and Andy stocked shelves and helped people shop for food. We ended our team day with a nice dinner and a Pittsburgh Pirates game! We had a wonderful time team building and giving back to our community.
