Disability Pride month is celebrated in the month of July to commemorate the passing of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) in July 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life including jobs, schools, transportation and all private in public places that are open to the general public. The law makes sure that individuals with disabilities have the same rights as others.

We are HIRING! We're looking for a few good people to join our team & help us serve adults with Intellectual Disabilities in the Coraopolis, McKees Rocks, Crafton, and Baldwin areas during daytime hours.

This part-time position is perfect for anyone looking for supplemental income and a desire to do something meaningful in their spare time including retirees, empty nesters, college students, and parents of school-age children. Seniors are welcome to apply.

You will work with intellectually disabled individuals at home or in the community, assist them with achieving their personal goals, and teach them skills that foster independence in their day-to-day lives. While helping others you will get to explore all the wonderful activities and venues Pittsburgh has to offer. Responsibilities include picking up an individual from their home, integrating them into the community based on their interests and needs, and then returning them home. A reliable car and driver's license are required. We offer flexible hours and will design a work schedule based on your availability!
