Every person deserves to feel cared for, seen, and valued in life’s final chapter.

Here in Pittsburgh, hospice and palliative care teams are helping individuals and their families find peace—through pain management, emotional support, and compassionate presence when it’s needed most.

On this World Hospice & Palliative Care Day, we honor those providing this care and advocate for greater awareness, access, and dignity for all facing serious illness.

Because in the Steel City, no one should face the end of life alone. 💜

🧠 Mental health is just as essential to quality of life as physical health—especially for older adults, individuals living with chronic conditions, and their caregivers.

This Mental Illness Awareness Week, we’re joining our neighbors across Pittsburgh to break the stigma around mental illness, open up honest conversations, and show compassion for those who are struggling.

In our community, we believe in whole-person care—because well-being isn’t just physical. It’s emotional, mental, and social, too. 💚

HomeWell Care Services of Pittsburgh is proud to introduce a new program designed to support families caring for loved ones living with dementia.

This initiative, launched by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), aims to enhance the quality of life for individuals with dementia, reduce the burden on caregivers, and improve overall family well-being. Additional goals include slowing disease progression, promoting functional independence for as long as possible, and reducing unnecessary healthcare utilization and associated costs.

Eligible participants may qualify for paid in-home respite care and will benefit from a range of supportive services, including caregiver education, improved access to resources, and enhanced care coordination.
