We are honored to recognize Janice Goldsborough as the recipient of this year’s Benjamin Rush Individual Award.

With over 30 years of experience in human services, Janice has devoted her career to advocating for vulnerable communities. Since 2007, she has served as Medical Advocacy Coordinator at the Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, where she provides crisis intervention for survivors of intimate partner violence as they navigate the healthcare system. She also supports healthcare professionals through consultations, training, and the development of best practices.

Beyond this role, Janice has worked extensively in HIV/AIDS prevention, serving as Minority Community Organizer at the University of Pittsburgh and partnering with state and federal agencies to advance community health. A proud U.S. Navy veteran of Operation Desert Storm, she continues to bring dedication, leadership, and compassion to every aspect of her service.

We are proud to highlight ACMS member Dr. Michael Aziz, maternal-fetal medicine physician at Allegheny Health Network, for his recent feature in WTAE-TV Pittsburgh. 🩺

In the article, Dr. Aziz addressed patient concerns following the administration’s claim linking Tylenol use during pregnancy to autism. We are proud to highlight ACMS member Dr. Michael Aziz, maternal-fetal medicine physician at Allegheny Health Network, for his recent feature in the media. 🩺

In response to federal claims linking Tylenol use in pregnancy to autism, Dr. Aziz emphasized that “the best evidence does not show an association.” He cited a 2024 peer-reviewed JAMA study of more than 2 million children over two decades, which found no link between acetaminophen use in pregnancy and autism.
