The BLACK YOGA Meditation Ensemble

The BLACK YOGA Meditation Ensemble Dark ambient space doom for yoga, meditation, revalations, and rituals. Since 2012, the music for these classes has been a series of mix-tapes.

Created by instructor, Kimee Massie (E-RYT 200), BLACK YO)))GA is vinyasa yoga set to drone, noise, stoner metal, ambient, industrial, space doom, and other traditional meditation music. It incorporates basic poses in a relaxed environment, while focusing on safe body mechanics. It’s a traditional class in practice, though darker than what you may typically associate with yoga. This particular rec

ording, however, was performed and created by the BLACK YO)))GA Meditation Ensemble, an eclectic group of metallic hippies and doomlords, headed up by Kimee’s husband, Scott Massie. This ensemble has produced a soundscape tailored to create a heavy meditative space in order to spread the benefits of yoga to people within their own art and music communities: people who may battle depression, anxiety, alcoholism, drug addiction, trauma/PTSD, phobias, dark passengers, etc.; those who may not feel they fit into the typical yoga classes; the people who, in all rights, may most need the balance and release of yoga to return to and lead rich, fulfilling lives.

“You can’t fully appreciate the light until you understand the darkness.”

BLACK YO)))GA - "Asanas Ritual, Vol. 1" CD/DVD combo package is OUT NOW!!! Two discs in a six-panel digipak, with a fold-out booklet to help you line up the poses with the songs, as they are crafted to flow. Once-in-a-lifetime shot! 🌕🦇

Last night’s Beaver Supermoon was already breathtaking, but when photographer Ethan Rowe reviewed his shots later, he discovered something truly magical — a bat perfectly silhouetted against the glowing moon.

Captured near Austin, Texas, where colonies of Mexican free-tailed bats fill the night sky, this image is proof that sometimes the best photos are the ones you don’t even know you’ve taken.

With the world mourning Ozzy Osbourne’s passing today, his final “Mama, I’m Coming Home” performance feels more powerful than ever. Ozzy didn’t just sing the song—he *became* it. No pyrotechnics, no wild costumes, no metal theatrics—just Ozzy, stripped down and vulnerable, letting us see his true self. Every year of his life was there in his voice: the pain, survival, chaos, and love. What started as a tribute to Sharon became a farewell to his entire journey. Each note sounded like a confession, every word heavy with meaning. This was Ozzy saying goodbye—not just to us, but to his own story. If you haven’t watched it yet, don’t wait. This is more than music—it’s a rock legend finally finding peace.

I wish more people understood that grief isn’t just being sad and crying.
Grief is being angry, being numb, being broken, and being everything in-between.
Grief is so different for everyone and you just have to go thru the motions and roll with the punches.
When you’re grieving the loss of someone you grieve for what was and what will never be, grief also takes a big toll on your mental and physical health.
Grief is LOVE with nowhere to go.
Grief is trying to remind yourself that “this too shall pass.”
Grief is forcing yourself out of bed to shower and eat.
Greif is isolating yourself.
Grief is surrounding yourself with people and things to distract your brain from reality.
Grief is ugly and rough, so if you cannot understand why people grieve so hard for so long and so deep consider yourself lucky to not understand.
