After more than a yearlong pause, Pittsburgh residents can once again apply for the city's free spay and neuter program for pets.

The program was paused in February 2024, after an evaluation that uncovered “inappropriate” and “disingenuous” uses for the free service, including non-residents falsifying addresses to access it.

We're so excited to celebrate Community Health Worker Week! At Birmingham, our amazing CHWs - Jody and Karen - help patients with a myriad of needs! From helping to apply for Emergency Medicaid, connecting with food assistance, legal needs, transportation, making health care appointments, and so much more! CHWs are a crucial part of whole person care, and we're grateful for all that they do for our patients! Happy CHW Week to all CHWs out there!
