Lent has started and the Friday Fish Fry's are in full swing! Below is a link to an interactive guide to all in the Pittsburgh area to help you plan your Friday meals.

A little history - The Friday fish fry is a predominantly American, Midwestern, and Great Lakes tradition rooted in the Catholic practice of abstaining from meat on Fridays, especially during Lent. It became popular in the 1920s-30s, fueled by German/Polish immigrants and Prohibition, when bars used inexpensive, abundant fried fish to replace lost alcohol revenue.

It's almost Fish Fry time again. Pittsburgh's Action News 4 is working to collect the best Fish Fry locations in our area with your help.

Our Tarentum Center also enjoyed a Valentine's Love Notes concert of love-themed music including You are My Sunshine, L-O-V-E, and even an original love song! Each participant shared who their “Sweetheart” is and many of them brought photos to share with everyone. It was a beautiful afternoon!

Chronic stress can have a negative impact on heart health including high blood pressure, inflammation, and arrhythmias.
