The function of a boundary is to protect. It is the point at which we do not allow something or someone to proceed because to do so would be harmful. If we do not know when and where to say no, we allow things to occur which do damage to our well being and the things we love. Black Tourmaline is my favorite protective crystal because rather than absorb or deflect, it protects by setting a ward, a boundary, a line of delineation that says “no further”. This also makes Black Tourmaline an excellent tool for improving our own boundaries, which is an added layer of protection we give to ourselves. I keep it in my car, on my person and in all the windows and doorways of my home to ensure that my boundaries are strong and enforced in every area of my life.
