Not only does this loving-kindness mantra make for a most effective meditation, but it is the foundation on which I have built my body-positive, trauma-informed practice. My goal is to support my clients’ self-healing processes through educated bodywork. I aim to help turn down the volume in stressed tissue to promote better functioning with customized, compassionate treatments using a variety of modalities. As a firm believer that little progress is made in a place of shame or denial I exhibit kindness, non-judgement, and patience towards my clients because I would like them to extend that to themselves. My practice is inclusive, anti-racist, LGBTQ+ friendly, and non-discriminatory. For the past decade, I have been working in the service industry to help create more connected, healthy, and equitable communities. My prior work experience has taught me that self-care and stress reduction are key in our ability to serve others. I have always had an interest in bodywork’s ability to improve health and in 2018 I decided to enroll in the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. This opportunity allowed for me to work and learn with leaders in the massage therapy, and develop a unique, well-rounded massage approach that includes Western Techniques, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and bodywork for PTSD.
I am currently based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You can find me at Evolve Wellness Spa (www.evolvewellnessspa.com) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday. It is my belief that our personal health and well-being contributes to the health of all, and I look forward to helping you live better in our shared community.
