The best day of my life! Today I was honored by Mayor Ed Gainey with an official proclamation for my career of service as a physician in Pittsburgh. I am deeply honored and grateful to all of my friends, family, colleagues, and especially all of my patients and patient families! This honor is not for me but for all of us as a community, and is testament to the power of medicine to build bridges. I do this work for all of you, and you have poured into me with love over the years. September 25 is now officially Dr. Udekwu day in the City of Pittsburgh!
