I wanted to send out a few general reminders about things to be aware of when coming in for your massage appointments.
First, thank you so much for all of your referrals! I truly appreciate all your kind words and messages to friends and family. I am definitely accepting new clients and will get them in as soon as I can. Unfortunately, what I cannot do is then discuss that with you. 😞 Massage therapy is a form of healthcare and HIPAA laws apply, so I am unable to confirm or deny if anyone is a client of mine or if your friend/family member has made an appointment. I know it seems like it shouldn't be that big of a deal and I always feel weird having to tell people, so I thought I would just put it in a general reminder email since it comes up so often. Thanks in advance for understanding.
Second, please arrive 5-6 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will allow us time to talk for a minute to update any conditions and discuss your goals for the session, allow you time to use the restroom, and still let us begin on time. If you arrive exactly at your scheduled time and we still have to do all of that, unfortunately the time will end up coming off your session so that I can see the next client at their scheduled time. Please don't arrive any earlier however, because I need the time between to clean the room, remake the table, use the restroom, and sometimes grab a snack. A hungry massage therapist doesn't give the best massages! 😉
Third, if you have a gift card, please bring it with you. If they are purchased online, you should have received an email with a QR code , a bar code, and a 16 digit number. I need these in order to run the gift cards. Please try to have them already located when you arrive.
Lastly, I want to include a link to the CDC's current guidelines for Covid. Everyone has been very diligent about rescheduling their appointments when they are sick or have been exposed to Covid and I greatly appreciate that. There is some confusion on how long to quarantine and under what circumstances. Because of the close contact we have during your massage sessions and the fact that both my daughter and I are immunocompromised, I prefer to follow the guidelines for the longest quarantine (11 days from the start of symptoms regardless of whether you subsequently test negative or not).

If you've read this far, THANK YOU! I appreciate all of you and look forward to seeing you on the table in the near future. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or concerns .
