I did it! Finished in 3:47, shaving 32 minutes off my PR made 14 years ago. Finished in the top 21% of all marathoners, top 13% of all female marathoners, and the top 10% of my age group. Stay tuned for the absolutely wild story of how a crazy turn of events almost kept me from getting to the start line this morning.

One of the best things about virtual training? You can take me anywhere, and I can take YOU anywhere. Here I'm literally sitting in a park with my laptop. Just wrapped up what might’ve been my fastest 25K trail race—if only it had ended at 25K! Here’s my watch at the 25K mark, showing a time that would’ve snagged first place in my age group, swipe left for the best prize of all—my daughter decked out in race swag.

Thanks to some questionable course markings, I logged about 3 bonus miles but still ran the fastest I’ve ever run. While I aim to crush the course next year now that I know the turns, the real victory is coming home to her smile. Showing her how to be both a strong competitor and a dedicated mom is the true finish line for me.
