The Harvard Business School has released an eye-opening study on the impact of working caregivers from both an employee and employer perspective. Organizations pay an estimated cost of $34-44 billion per year due to excessive employee turnover, high rates of absenteeism, and increased healthcare costs. Some key findings from the study include: • 73% of employees reported having some level of caregiving responsibility. • 52% of employers do not track employee caregiving responsibility. • 32% of all employees have voluntarily left a job during their career due to caregiving responsibilities and a large number were employees in senior management roles with men actually outnumbering women. • 28% of employees surveyed believe that caregiving harmed their careers. • 24% of employers responded that caregiving influenced workers performance. https://hbs.me/2CBYrBJ hashtag hashtag hashtag hashtag hashtag hashtag
