In anticipation of the rise in respiratory illness during the fall and winter seasons, BHS has implemented its virus alert level system to help control and reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses in our healthcare facilities and our community.

Virus activity will be reviewed weekly to determine which level BHS facilities will be assigned, and our website will be updated regularly to reflect the current color.

BHS had an incredible weekend at the Brien Center’s “Serving Hope” pickleball tournament at Bousquet Sport, connecting, serving, and rallying for a great cause!

BHS was proud to be a sponsor of the event, which supported The Brien Center's Patrick Miller Youth Substance Abuse Program. The program offers early intervention, counseling, and substance use prevention services to young people and their families throughout Berkshire County.

Thank you to The Brien Center for hosting such a fun and impactful event!

BHS employees and their families came out on a very warm day for the 69th annual Fall Foliage Parade in North Adams on Sunday, October 5! 🍁

Thousands of spectators came to celebrate “Northern Berkshires & Beyond” in the City of North Adams. Our employees and families walked the parade route to cheers for North Adams Regional Hospital, decked out in bright orange t-shirts, alien glasses, and alien antennae while handing out candy, t-shirts, and fun alien attire.

We are thankful to our employee volunteers and were glad to spread the out-of-the-world message, “Stellar Care, Closer to Home” in Northern Berkshire. We are looking forward to next year's parade!

Earlier this week, the BHS Harm Reduction team joined RIZE Massachusetts and Mosaic Opioid Recovery Partnership for a convening to honor the $15 million in planned opioid settlement investments granted through Mosaic to community-led initiatives across Massachusetts.

The initiatives include projects like BHR's Subaru outreach vehicles and the opening of the South County Recovery Center. Just like a mosaic is made up of individual materials to create a complete picture, this partnership brings together the best ideas and programs to create a comprehensive response to the opioid overdose crisis.

We look forward to continued collaborations with these amazing people and are committed to securing funding that impacts our Berkshire County residents.
