After answering the call to caregiving, Betty June Harp is officially retiring at the vibrant age of 90. 🎉

She’s been the heart of so many meaningful moments with our Louisville team, and while we’ll miss seeing her smile each day, we’re celebrating all she’s given—and all that’s ahead.

Congratulations on your retirement, Betty June. You’re a legend, a light, and yes, finally a lady of leisure. 💜

When Thao walks into the room, a veteran with advanced Parkinson’s — mostly nonverbal — lights up and says, “There’s my angel.”
Thao Nguyen, a Care Pro with Home Instead, doesn’t just show up. She brings music. She brings home-cooked Vietnamese meals. She brings peace of mind.

Originally from Vietnam, Thao cared for her grandmother and extended family from a young age. That lifelong devotion to elders followed her to the U.S., where a neighbor introduced her to caregiving.

One family loved her cooking so much, they stocked their pantry just so Thao could prepare her signature dishes. Another client requested her by name each week, just to hear her music in the hall.

“I treat them like my own parents,” Thao says. “I love them so much.”

Thank you, Thao, for reminding us that exceptional caregiving isn’t just noticed.

We are honored to announce Christine as our June Care Pro of the Month!

Christine worked for Home Instead years ago and returned to us in 2024. We were so happy to welcome her back as she has always proven herself to be a reliable, hard working, warm, caring, calm, supportive, and an all around wonderful Care Pro.

She has been with her most recent client since October and helped them navigate changes in condition and with a transition to a new facility. The family was so grateful for everything Christine did for their family this past year. When they learned we were honoring Christine, they were thrilled and jumped at the chance to speak her praises for all she has done. Here is what her client's son had to say:

"Christine is outstanding!! She is not just a wonderful caregiver, but she is an amazing person. We were so lucky to have her take care of our loved one. When my parent was having health issues, Christine stepped up and helped make sure everyone was being cared for. We could not have asked for a better match for our family. My parents love and adore her and we are so grateful for her presence in our lives."

Kellie has been with Home Instead since 2019 and she has been such a excellent part of our team! Kellie really is a hero of the night, working long night shift hours with her clients.

A lot of us can't imagine working at night since most of us are asleep, but Kellie is nothing short of reliable! She is always on time, we know we can always count on her to be at her client's home. Kellie continually builds a strong relationships with her clients and even though Kellie works in the night, her personality shines bright like the sun!

Thank you Kellie for being such a wonderful addition to Home Instead!
