The New Hampshire Avalanche (an EHLP team) just won the 2025-26 Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Championship!
This is the league title for the EHLP division. They went through the playoffs and won the “Frozen Finals” series (best-of-three) against the New Jersey 87’s at Schneider Arena in Providence, RI, in April 2026. It’s a Very big deal for the organization and the players—it’s top honor in that specific division and highlights a strong season of development and on-ice success.
• Junior hockey (ages roughly 16–21)
• The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is a Tier II junior hockey league (re-classified as such in early 2025 by USA Hockey standards). It focuses on developing players for college hockey (NCAA D1) and beyond.
• a high-level developmental program that feeds directly into the EHL and produces NCAA commitments.
