Prevention is your best option...Viruses and bacteria are not all bad, its the over population of a virus or bacteria that can lead to illnesses. Humans naturally have bacteria and viruses all over and in our bodies. In fact, there are more non human cells in our bodies than human cells.... So with that said, lets work with what we have, we are only as strong as we are balanced. If you are one to pour toxic foods and fragrances in and on your body, you will be weakening your resilience to the stronger bugs by weakening the microorganisms that destroy those stronger bugs. If you fortify yourself with naturally colorful nourishing foods and unscented non toxic body and home cleaning care, and control your stress levels you will theoretically have a much stronger constitution to balance the microorganisms naturally.

Here are some helpful prevention tips...

1. Lower Your Stress Level- This is number one for a reason! It's the most important! Stress depletes your immune system, creates an acidic environment in your system, throws off your hormone balance and increases your chances of becoming ill. Practice meditation or mindfulness daily and breath exercises(see below). Free apps like Insight Timer (my favorite), Headspace and Smiling Minds have tons of free guided meditations. Daily oil massage or Abhyanga (see below) is wonderful for relaxation and immune system support. By stimulating the tissues you are creating a flushing of the lymphatic system, the soothing massage brings a sense of overall calm to the body and mind.

2. Increase the health of your gut microbiome - Feed your gut good bacteria stimulating foods- fermented foods, kombucha, garlic, kifer, Kimchi, probiotics. Feed your gut with healthy whole food items; not processed, mucus producing (dairy and gluten), or sugary items.

3. Exercise- Get outside and get some fresh air daily, even if you have to bundle up or put on rain gear! The outdoors do wonders for our minds and moods and health! Our natural ability to detox through sweat helps to release toxins in the body and increases good feelings and endorphins as well as supports overall health. If you have access to an infrared sauna that will also be an added bonus to your preparations and has been documented to increase the detoxification of your skin and body, make sure you wash off after.

4. Gargle with sea salt water or straight hydrogen peroxide- Make a solution of warm water and 1 tsp of sea salt. Gargle for a minute or two, morning and night and after being in public. If you get sick, use straight hydrogen peroxide instead! This can help kill off any virus and bacteria.

5. Increase Water Intake - Hydrotherapy! Support and flush your system regularly with clean water (½ your body weight in ounces daily) and take a shower alternating hot and cold water to support circulation and release toxins. Take an epsom salt bath (1 cup of epsom salts in the bath water) to increase healthy mineral uptake. Remember your skin absorbs and minerals are great for lowering stress and relaxation.

6. Use a Neti pot! Make a solution of warm water and 1/4 sea salt or 1 tsp of colloidal silver and rinse sinuses once or twice daily. Directions are on the neti pot box. This helps clear and flush sinuses, removing virus and bacteria.

Simple Daily Breathing Exercises:
Breathing deep helps to bring oxygen into the body and also supports the lower lungs which is where viruses tend to settle, it's like a work out for your lungs.
Try 4/7/8 breathing: Take a 4 count inhale, pause 7 count, exhale 8 count. You may need to work up to this.
OR:
Try 5/5 breathing: breathe in through your nose to the count of 5, pause and exhale to the count of 5 through your mouth. Do several rounds of this when you wake, before sleep and when you feel stressed!

Abhyanga warm oil massage: Start with your favorite oil; almond oil, sesame oil, olive oil, coconut oil, add any essential oils to your mix. Place oil under warm water then massage the entire body with the oil. Stroke up towards heart, circular motions around joints, and clockwise on intestinal area.

Natural cleaning solution:
1 spray bottle: Fill with 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar, leaving a bit of room for other ingredients.
Add: 1oz witch hazel, 10 drops of Tea tree oil or Thieves or lavender oil. Mix and spray

Daily fortifying Smoothie
½ cucumber
½ Pear or Apple
1-2 celery stalks
4 slices or more fresh ginger
½ juices lime
Hand full of greens like beet greens and spinach
Water to mix
I use a Vitamix for better mixing

If you are not eating these mushrooms, you need to add them into your diet. This amazing food has shown powerful immune-boosting and anticancer activity, including blocking the formation of tumors...

Medicinal Mushrooms

One food source that has been thoroughly researched in its role in immune stimulation and cancer are Medicinal Mushrooms. This amazing food has the ability to complement chemotherapy and radiation therapy by countering several of the side effects of these modalities, including nausea, bone marrow suppression, anemia, and lowered resistance. The following mushrooms have shown powerful immune-boosting and anticancer activity—including blocking the formation of tumors. These mushrooms contain polysaccharides, substances that increase immune defense by enhancing the function of macrophages and natural killer (NK) cells.

Turkey Tail

A seven-year clinical study funded by the National Institutes of Health and jointly conducted by the University of Minnesota and Bastyr University in Seattle found that freeze-dried turkey tail mushroom had a dramatic impact in boosting immune function for women with stages I, II, and III breast cancer and also contributed to tumor shrinkage."

Maitake

This mushroom, also 'known as hen of the wood' has been found to inhibit tumor growth in human clinical trials. It has also been found to increase the production of interleukins, neutrophils, T cells, and macrophages while decreasing side effects of chemotherapy.

Shiitake

A 2015 University of Florida study showed increased immunity in people who ate a cooked shiitake mushroom every day for four weeks." By comparing blood tests obtained both before and after the experiment, researchers saw better functioning immune cells and reductions in inflammatory proteins.

Reisshi ("Mushroom of Immortality")

Reisshi mushrooms contain beta glucans, a type of polysaccharide that has demonstrated antitumor and immunostimulating activity. Recent findings indicate that reishi mushrooms may increase NK cell cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines. They may also protect against radiation damage.

Lion's Mane

Lion's mane mushrooms have been demonstrated to stimulate NK and macrophage activity and also to inhibit angiogenesis (the development of new blood vessels), contributing to reduction of tumor size. It was also discovered that when the mushroom was combined with the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin, an otherwise drug-resistant human liver cancer became treatable.

Cordyceps

Evidence shows that cordyceps is an immune modulator with potentiating and suppressive effects on both innate and adaptive immunity. It enhances the activity of NK cells and has been found to initiate T cell responses against microbial pathogens and tumors."

Conclusion: As you can see from the above, Medicinal Mushrooms should be included in everyone's diet to enhance immune function and has promise in the management of cancer.

Are you eating h**p seeds? If not, start!
I put them in my smoothie daily.
3Tbs=10g of protein and h**p seeds have tons of health benefits...
From Medical Jane website...
"Studies have shown consumption of raw h**p seeds can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, accelerate weight loss, improve one’s immune system, control blood sugar levels, and even reduce inflammation.
This makes h**p seeds extremely nutritious. They contain a bundle of essential amino acids and fatty-acids. H**p has the second highest amount of protein of any food (soy being the highest). However, because the h**p seed’s protein more closely resembles the protein found in human blood, it is much easier to digest than soy protein"

Our Story

As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Certified Doctor of Naturopathy, I utilize natural methods such as nutrition, stress management, homeopathy, proper supplementation, and lifestyle changes to help my clients obtain and maintain vibrant health. Using information from assessment forms, a comprehensive health interview and Bio-energetic EAV testing results, I set up an individualized wellness program to help you achieve vibrant health which addresses underlying causes of health issues, dietary changes, stress reduction and correct supplementation where needed.

I know the trials of undiagnosed, on going health problems as in my 20’s I struggled with depression, weight issues, digestive issues, extreme fatigue and migraines, getting no help from medical doctors but trying for years. It was one medication after another and at one point I was taking 6 different medications that either didn’t help or masked symptoms, but no healing took place. Taking charge of my own health, I reversed 2 auto-immune conditions, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and ANA. To this day, I take no prescription medications and have the health and energy I desire to live a fun, full life.
