Last Friday night, Gold Country Health Center had the privilege of supporting Hospice of Amador & Calaveras at their Annual Art Auction — a heartwarming evening celebrating art, community, and compassionate care.

This event held special meaning for our team. Our Administrator, Doug Hawkins, was invited to speak on behalf of his late father, whom he lost earlier this year to ALS. Doug shared his personal experience with Hospice of Amador & Calaveras, expressing deep gratitude for the incredible care and compassion they provided throughout his father’s journey. It was an emotional and powerful reminder of why the work we all do matters — and Doug was honored to speak about the profound impact hospice care had on his family.

Gold Country Health Center and Hospice of Amador & Calaveras share a truly unique and valued partnership. Together, we walk alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging moments — ensuring comfort, dignity, and support every step of the way. Whether it’s through skilled nursing, emotional care, or end-of-life services, our shared mission is rooted in compassion and community.

We are proud to stand beside Hospice of Amador & Calaveras — not just as partners in care, but as part of a larger community that believes in showing up for one another when it matters most.

🎉 Thank you for joining us for National Night Out at Gold Country Health Center! 🎉

We had an incredible evening celebrating community, connection, and safety with all of you! It was an honor to host this year’s event and see so many friendly faces come together for a fun night filled with laughter, good conversations, and meaningful moments.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing vendors who participated and helped make the night so special. Your support, energy, and generosity truly brought this event to life—we couldn’t have done it without you!

And to our wonderful community members who showed up and shared the evening with us—thank you for your continued support and for making Gold Country such a great place to live and work. Events like this remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a caring and connected community.

Welcome Doug Hawkins!

Snowline is proud to announce the newest member of our Board of Directors, Doug Hawkins. Doug, an RN, brings a wealth of experience and compassion to our mission, currently serving as the licensed hospital administrator at Gold Country Health Center.

Doug oversees both a 68-bed skilled nursing post-acute care facility and a 46-bed assisted living facility, all within the same healthcare system, right here in El Dorado County. He also serves as Chair for the Grants Committee on the Board of Directors at the Marshall Foundation for Community Health.

We are honored to have Doug’s leadership and dedication as we continue to provide exceptional care to those we serve. Welcome to the Snowline family, Doug!

Gold Country Health Center earned a Taco truck for the day! Thank you to for coming out and feeding our staff!💥 During this, our amazing activities director had our annual plant sale to raise money for the activities dept to ensure our residents have engaging activities daily! 🫶🏻
