This year, I’ve noticed more cannabis bills — and more regulations affecting our industry — than ever before. That tells me something important: times are changing, and progress is finally happening.
Lately, I’ve been busy in meetings at the state level working on legislation and rescheduling efforts, but every year I also make the trip to DC to help educate offices and lobby on a federal level.
The truth is, too few operators are willing to do this work.
Here in our county, Tahoe Wellness and Chuck’s are among the only ones working beyond the local level to help protect your rights, improve taxes and regulations, and fight for safe access. We do it because of you.
We know our community needs people willing to knock on doors, speak up, and keep pushing for fair policies for patients, consumers, and small businesses alike.
We are not criminals. We are proud of the service we provide, and we truly hope we’re making a difference.
For the first time in a long time, it feels like there’s light at the end of the tunnel — and some good years ahead.
Also, partner Kimberly Cargile graduated in Maryland on Tues with a masters in medical cannabis science! One of 700 people in the world hold this degree, congratulations Kimberly! She created a training program for our team (and others) on the latest science as we know it, exciting time! 👏 proud of you Kimberly!
