Quacklene update ❤️‍🩹: she was doing better but has suddenly taken a turn for the worse again and her lungs are completely full of an infection again.

The last visit alone was 1000 dollars in tests and meds and the doctor said there will most likely be surgery to remove the fungal plaques from her lungs. And the doctor who can perform this surgery, lives very far away. She is a fighter but her poor little body is struggling and she is very, very sick.

Vanessa is doing everything she can for her and will continue to do so. This little creature is not only her entire world but is a loved member of small Placerville community.

We ❤️ Brownie Mary! Her legacy still lives on, she was a great woman!

As the AIDS epidemic ravaged San Francisco in the 1980s, Mary Jane Rathbun delivered her "magical" brownies — baked with ma*****na — to hundreds of patients in order to ease their symptoms. Known as "Brownie Mary," Rathbun had been making ma*****na brownies since the 1970s, and she realized the drug could help AIDS patients with symptoms like pain and nausea. "My kids need this and I'm ready to go to jail for my principles," she declared. "I'm not going to cut any deals... If I go to jail, I go to jail."
